Review: First ELIANT strategy meeting in Dornach! (16.6.2007)
This was a first, intensive working meeting with participants from Denmark, France, Spain, Switzerland and Germany, and with Michaela Glöckler from the core members. The spark of enthusiasm for this internationally uniting campaign quickly kindled in all those present. It became clear how urgent it is to create the necessary legal framework conditions to maintain the diversity of anthroposophical initiatives and sustain their further development. In relation to the local work of coordinators and activists we then discussed further strategic steps and priorities:
1. In as many countries and regions as possible we want to involve people in the campaign who are available as direct contacts in their locality, taking up suggestions and ideas, passing on new information and, where relevant, translating this into other languages.
2. Articles and information already available and continually updated on the website www.eliant.eu provide the basis for campaign work. Here you will find many good examples that you can use for your own work.
3. New campaign info materials, newsletters, banners, posters and badges are also now available as master copies and can be used in other countries. See: Downloads
4. Each person can find opportunities in his own field/area for publicising the campaign and discussing it with others. We have had very good responses by communicating these matters as a personal concern at conferences, congresses, lectures or working groups.
5. In this way we can find new activists who work together in a small group to plan and realise further actions.
6. You can make contact with institutions and organisations or companies in your country that work on anthroposophical lines. Speak to individuals who know of these services or products and value or already use them.
7. For fundraising there is a letter that can be used as template for your own activities in a particular country. This is a way of enlisting people who want to help fund your local campaign work. In the next few weeks the names of those who have already agreed to be contact persons will be published on the website to make contact easier.
